So i want to share some travel tips to Ho Chi Minh after my business trip to this amazing place. 

Comment on Airasia Ride and Grab

I can say that i have unpleasant ride for Airasia ride. 

Story begin with 3 days before the flight, i have prebook the ride as the flight is 9am and i need to reach airport 3 hours before the flight to check-in luggage one hour before the flight. This is my first oversea flight after pandemic, and i was rushing for checked in luggage as there is a lot of people during this hours. Holy! Before the day, i have confirmed the driver details and get his mobile number and whatapps him before the day. The driver has replied and noted on my message. During the morning , i have found that the AARide has cancelled my ride, i was shocked and called the driver. Luckily i have the number and managed to call the driver. I'm not sure whether the driver cancelled my ride or system auto cancelled. Finally, the driver pick me and send to airport. I'm abit speechless when the driver told me that he dont have touch n go app but he have the TNG card. hmmm..what a day. I remind myself next time i have to make autopayment after this instead of cash. And the driver didnt share the receipt to me as the system cancelled. I was really mad. For Grab ride, I have no issue on the ride and i have make autopayment phew!

Currency: i have changed Vietnam Dong at Jags Money, the Garden which is located in front of the Watson. The currency rate is quite ok. 

Transport in HCM: Grab and Walking

As i subscribing the Grab Unlimited, i have more than 10 50% voucher for the Grab Ride , the price can be as low as RM3 (16,000VND).  You can choose a quiet ride and learn 2 Vietnamese word which Xin Chao , Ka Men. (Hello & Thank You)

Since i come for business trip, i have focus more on cafe hoping and shopping area. Below is my recommendation.

1. Famous Egg Coffee Ca Phe Trung

Little Hanoi Egg Coffee (Yersin Branch) 

LOCATION

Opening Hour: 8am to 10pm

Price: 40k dong

Verdict: The coffee might not be strong enough as it is more on egg creamy taste, nice try

The place is quite hidden and the cafe was decorated with full Vietnamese style. 

2. Chocolate Souvenir at Maison Marou

Maison Marou Flagship Saigon

LOCATION

Opening hours: 9am to 10pm

Verdict: i have bought some chocolate bar and a box of 9 chocolate to try. So far so good. 

3. Breakfast/Teatime at Little Cam Saigon

LOCATION

Opening Hour: 7am to 10pm

Verdict: Only recommend to come for breakfast or teatime as they only serve pastry and drinks only. The space is quite small but the local will come here to have a drink and sit. Have a view of Saigon traffic. 

4. Aesthetic Instagrammable Cafe

Dabào Concept

LOCATION

Opening Hours: 7am to 9pm

Price: 69k Dong (Cafe Dua)

Verdict: Love their cafe vibes , every corner is instagrammable, please come with a friend! I have ordered their coconut coffee. They have 2 branch and worth to check in for both branch. One is more on retro feel while the Dongdo branch (LOCATION) more modern feel.

5.  Have a little power nap at Chidori Cafe
